E-Sponder is Wisconsin Emergency Management's Emergency Operation Software. WEM invites all Wisconsin State Agencies, County Emergency Management Directors, Tribes and First Responders to use E-Sponder (free of charge). E-Sponder is a tool that may be used to plan, respond or manage issues that are related to Emergency Management.

E-Sponder Training

All classes will be held in Madison but we will also be utilizing the National Guard's Distance Learning capabilities. These classes will also be offered remotely at the satellite locations in Tomahawk, Appleton and Milwaukee. We will need to have at a minimum 4 people at the satellite location to make this capability cost effective.

If you would be interested in hosting an Introduction or Intermediate E-Sponder class in your area please contact Catherine Rhyner or Skip Sharpe. The requirement to host a class would be at least 8-10 computers with access to the internet. These classes are scheduled for 3 hour blocks.

We are presently setting up potential classes for March and April:

• E-Sponder GIS Viewer - will provide hands on training, focusing on the uses and tools of the GIS Viewer.

• E-Sponder Exercise Training - to practice how to use E-Sponder in an event.

• Intermediate E-Sponder - more advanced use of E-Sponder (for E-Sponder Administrators.

• E-Sponder COOP Training - State Agencies Only.
